Biography

Dr Sutton sits on the Audit Committee of the Council of the National Health and Medical Research Council, of which he is a member. He is also a member of the Innovation Grants Committee within the Department of Innovation, Industry, Science and Research and is a Non-Executive Director of NewSouth Innovations Pty Ltd (formerly Unisearch Ltd). Dr Sutton is a director of the North Shore Heart Research Foundation and is on the Board of the University of New South Wales Foundation.

Dr Sutton retired from Ventracor Limited in 2006, as Managing Director and CEO, after a long career in the international medical device industry, during which he was also CEO of Sirtex Limited.

Dr Sutton is a Life Member of the University of New South Wales Sports Association and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
