Dr Chi Luu is a Senior Research Scientist in Macular Research Unit at Centre for Eye Research Australia.
Dr Luu is an experienced electrophysiologist who ran the electrophysiology service at the Singapore National Eye Centre for the period between 2001 and 2008.

He played a major role in the establishment of the visual electrophysiology laboratory in Singapore Eye Research Institute (SERI) and Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC) which is the first electrophysiology laboratory in South East Asia that meets the standard set by the International Society for Clinical Electrophysiology of Vision (ISCEV).

He also had a significant contribution to the recent establishment of the visual electrophysiology unit at the Eye Institute in Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), and the operation of the unit is currently under his guidance. Dr Luu also has experienced in animal electrophysiology and has established an animal electrophysiology laboratory in SERI.

He is actively involved in research using electrophysiology instrumentations in various aspects of the visual system and ocular diseases which have lead him winning a prestigious award (Eberhard Dodt Award) in visual electrophysiology from the Society for the Advancement of Neuro-Ophthalmological Research (Germany) and the International Society for Clinical Electrophysiology of Vision.
