Following the completion of his ophthalmology training, Dr McCombe undertook fellowships at Moorfield’s Eye Hospital in London from 1988 to 1990, specialising and studying in medical retina and surgical retinal disorders.
Upon returning to Melbourne, he took up a post as a consultant ophthalmologist in the medical retina clinic and the vitreoretinal surgical unit at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital.
Dr Allen trained in medicine at the University of Melbourne before undertaking Ophthalmology training at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital, sub-specialising in medical retinal surgery.
She sub specialised in medical and retina surgery from 1994 to 1995 she undertook a fellowship at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and then travelled to Moorfield’s Eye Hospital in London for a vitreoretinal fellowship from 1995 to 1996.
Dr Allen is currently an ophthalmologist in the medical and vitreoretinal unit at the Eye and Ear Hospital and is also on staff at The Alfred.
She has been an associate at the Centre for Eye Research Australia since 1997
